‘My Support My Choice’ is a joint project between the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland and Self Directed Support Scotland, funded by the Scottish Government. The aim is to establish how Self-directed Support (SDS) is working in practice for social care users (people who get support or services paid for by the council so that they can do everyday tasks).

We are currently looking to learn more about the experiences of people with lived experience of mental health problems who are accessing or have tried to access SDS. We are equally interested in the experiences of people who use social care, and those who have been told they are ineligible for support.

Would you be willing to spend an hour or two sharing your experiences of being assessed for and managing SDS in a focus group? Contributions are anonymous and information shared will be kept confidential by the research team.

If you would be willing to speak to us about your experiences of social care, we’d really appreciate it.

If you’re interested in attending, please email Hannah Tweed at hannah.tweed@alliance-scotland.org.uk. You can also call our free helpline: 0800 1701 321 (Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm).
