Rutherglen & Cambuslang Citizens Advice Bureau is actively taking precautionary measures and continuously monitoring the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak, in line with local and national authority, public health advice and guidelines.

After seeking further guidance I have decided that volunteers who have underlying health issues should refrain from attending the bureau. I have a duty of care towards volunteers which includes not exposing them to unnecessary risk, in this particular case includes not putting yourself in a position in which you could become infected by the virus without taking all reasonable precautions.

I have carried out a risk assessment and adopted all precautions that are relevant to this office and will continue to offer guidance and support for staff & volunteers should they require this. This will be reviewed regularly.

I should now be in a position to ensure I am prepared to deal with changes quickly and effectively and keep everyone updated.

As a Charity Organisation we are monitoring the situation closely to enable continued support for our clients. The continued ability to maintain, as far as practically possible, safe and effective support services to our clients is our number one priority, as is the safety of our staff and volunteers.
We are following local and national public health closely to ensure this and have also implemented some adaptions to our services within Rutherglen & Cambuslang Office which started Monday 16th March 2020.

Rutherglen & Cambuslang Citizens Advice Bureau WILL Continue:
Support for clients within the G72 / G73 postcode will continue to be available via telephone & email support from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 3pm

Please do NOT attend Outreach Hubs:
Client appointments, drop in services and visits to all Outreach Facilities will not be available until further notice.

We are still working on and business as usual. Even though we have switched to telephone / email advice which is working well, we are still kept very busy.  We will proved face to face in exceptionally urgent / vulnerable circumstance when no other assistance is available to clients.

I Still have all my staff and most volunteers so things looking ok for now.
