LEAP have moved to a telephone befriending service for our older clients but we are also willing to take on new individuals for telephone befriending. We have increased the frequency of contact but reduced the amount of time we spend with each client so that we can break the week up for them.
We have also established a shopping delivery service for people who are self isolating and who have no one else to support them either because they have no family close or their family are self isolating. Please see the following link https://www.leap-project.co.uk/shoppers .
We are operating throughout South Lanarkshire with the exception of Clydesdale as we have no presence in that area at the moment.
If anyone would like to pass referrals or clients on to us we will assist where we can.
As I said to Maureen this morning it would be useful to find out if our staff and volunteers will still be able to continue to offer this service if we go into a full lock down situation at some point?
Hope you all stay well and healthy.
